Something's been bothering me. Say you have a derived word ( gonvah "pirated software" is what comes to mind). Its meaning is shaped from both the root and the vowel pattern. Then how do you inflect it, if inflecting means changing the vowel pattern? How would you say, eg, "one piece of pirated soft...
