I think I remember Zomp saying that he had some conlangs in his conworld that were polysynthetic. I think it was in the Wede:i topic.

Nah, I don't think I caught it via internet, JT. It's been going around our school for the past week...about 1/6 (about 17%) of the school was out with it.

I got the flu today, so I only went 1/2 a day at school. I've felt horrible all day, but I'm starting to feel a little better (good enough to get off the couch and send a couple e-mails). I'll be missing school tomorrow though. Too bad

Probably. But if you have an idea for a conlang, you don't want to spend months on another conlang before starting on it. And what if you create a proto-lang, but then want to create an even farther back proto-lang for it. To be entirely complete, you'd have to do a proto-world first....

Not nescisarilly(sp)...this is conlangery after all. You can do it in whichever order you want.

A problem might occur when saving the images into the same folder. If the original HTML specifies that the images are in a folder (for example, /images/blah.html), and I think most (or all) of Zomp's images are in seperate folders.

Here's a sample of my new polylang, just so you can get a feel on it. I won't post much grammatical things yet, but here's a few things. The only consanant clusters allowed are 'qt' and 'tq', or a continuation of those ('qtq', which is uncommon). No more than two consecutive vowels are allowed. The ...

Favorite of the Thinkers...

What's everyone's favorite of Almea's sentient species? Why? Mine would have to be the ktuvoki. I find their behavior fascinating, as well as their culture. It's interesting how they effect their slaves and pets.

yes, I don't believe they enslave ilii. They usually enslave humans, I believe, and hate the ilii.

But I meant what non-sentient animals did they domesticate?

Ktuvoki

I just reread the section about the Ktuvoki on the Almean biology page, and I have a few questions: Do the tentacles on their heads have any signicant function? Are they extra sensories, as a cat's whiskers? Can Ktuvoki naturally move them, like you could move a finger? Maybe the way some people can...
