Does anyone know if there are any more constructed worlds out there on the web that are of the scale of Almea? I've looked and not been able to find one quite like it. I found a world called Khoras, which has a lot of detail, but very little language stuff, and I don't really like the organization ...

well, the Elenicoi, I would think, probably didn't figure it was a different planet, just an unknown land, so when translated, my guess is they substituted Earth for Almea.

Hey, I was wondering, how tall are the Uesti? the General range, local averages, stuff like that. It came to my mind when I was watching something on Television (or something I read, I cannot remember, strangely enough), and it mentioned how the Romans were up to several inches shorter than the Germ...

Plate Armor first became widely used during the Middle Ages before the introduction of the gun to Europe in general, its just coincidental that they made the armor so resilient that it is virtually bulletproof. Plate Armor was part of the defense against stronger archery weaponry, I believe.
