I don't think that's the case at all. In any case, they're all beautiful, if not cute.

I refuse to let this thread fade into oblivion. You know, Aqua, we're still waiting on the VL > Italian and VL > Occitan changes, for God's sake!

And, to make this a worthwhile post, I'll just ask if anyone has the PIE > Indo-Iranian sound changes?

For the sentence to monzim reilei naya jurumirti bugei tinaya tu li? to muriwa, rir beri? mide naya mutuči nive eimiruwivu, you gloss li? as simply "face," rather than "face-ACC."

Also, you gloss the sample sentence nive omudečuviki en geivem ezer tibeli dei as king to puzzled-DIM to noble-ACC 1000 horses give-3s-PAST. But I think you have an extra "to" in there. Or you're missing one in the Axunashin sentence itself.

Even though that was pretty silly, I just found it incredibly amusing...hilarious even. I guess it's just the mental image of a Ktuvok walking around wearing a little sticker saying "HELLO, MY NAME IS _Fred_".

Using the wordlists Jeff has provided me with, I've been able to sort of figure out some Proto-Algonquian > Ojibwe sound changes. But there are lots of complex things that I haven't been able to figure out yet. So expect my list of the changes I've been able to find sometime near the end of the week...

I just wanted to point out, IPA y is not an unrounded u. [uu] (kind of) is.
And isn't the Russian <bI> /1/, not /M/?

Now that the thread has been reopened, there's something I've wanted to ask for a while. There's a problem I keep running into, which I can't find the solution to. Say, for example, that the word for "tree" is he-grows-toward-(the)-sky . And let's say that's Ma-legam-et-kasis . Now, say "sky" itself...

It may help to think of the ktuvoks as neocons. :) Not that they were modelled on them, of course, but the basic idea is similar: no matter how clever your opponents think they are, enough brute strength and you'll roll right over them. Funny, you don't see neocons changing laws and traditions thro...

Mainly because I think that fake Janko got everyone just generally grumpy and pissed of at the whole affair, and they didn't really give a damn about Janko any more.
