Conworlds.com resurrected as conworlds.fun

I let the domain name lapse and can't get it back so I bought conworlds.fun instead once I realized what happened.

If you want to view the old posts / use the old board / etc, you can do so via this link now:

Reksha and the Nexuses

In the seven planes of Reksha, somewhere in the Inner Nexus, there sits a timeless scroll that describes the Five Greats and their current location. Alas, this scroll is guarded by hundreds of minor enchantments and no one knows its location. Of course each city in the Inner Nexus claims it as their...

Las Lagunas

http://i.imgur.com/RctbJxP.png This conworld is a spiritual successor to Oceano de la Vida. It is also a real place in that universe, but you don't need to know anything about it to get into this one. Las Lagunas is a small universe with many planetoids, each encircled by a lake. Waterfalls connect...

Re: @anyone who went to conworlds.com

This issue has been fixed, and steps have been taken so that I can respond to server issues immediately (since I check the site rarely these days).

It would be neat to do more with the site someday, but for now it's just a great place to post stuff that will never be deleted.

Re: Océano de la Vida: 3 years later and much has changed

Oceano is finite? Along the path of the sun it is.. this is basic physics. The sun takes 144 hours to return to the same place in Segundo Mar. It moves about 90mph, which gives Oceano a circumference of ~12,960 miles (about half the earth). Our poor original explorers of the Gran Caceria only manag...

Re: Océano de la Vida: 3 years later and much has changed

The Limits of the World The Prismas were the ones to make the two greatest discoveries (at least in the eyes of the cartographos). They knew that Charged Emerald would violently separate colors from mugre in such a way that it didn't need many refinements nor did the cielo mugre have to be poured s...

Re: Océano de la Vida: 3 years later and much has changed

Agua Ice, the formless crystal Agua ice is large and hard, much like Onyx. It does not break easily, but pieces can be found lying around Inframundo and Abismo. The best time to gather them is at dusk, when Segundo Mar is almost at the bottom of Inframundo and the storms have subsided. The fog gets...

Re: Océano de la Vida: 3 years later and much has changed

This is where Ora lives now. On a great floating island, three miles from the City. Close enough to see their multicolored spires and jutting False Aquamarine. Everything has become pomp and splendor in this new world. But she does like the people of the Floating City more than those on or under the...

Re: Océano de la Vida (Cinturón Oscuro natural processes on

At first you said that Agua has healing properties. But you include that some folks are just terminally depressed. That would make sense especially if we’re dealing with Νοστος/añoranza/saudade: an incurable longing i.e. to go back home, to see lost family or friends or loves, or simply an obsessio...

Jelly Donut World!!!!!!!!!!!!

There were actually some non-conworlders involved in that. The world got so surreal it didn't matter.

Why don't we just start a new collabworld and test out you guys's theories?

Timeless Exhale

Hi all, I haven't conworlded in about three years.. this one plays out as an interchangeable history, mythology and story. It is disjointed and fairly psychedelic, and this is intentional. Nonetheless I'm willing to answer some of the questions you have (in the same format of course!) in between ren...

@anyone who went to conworlds.com

There was a server configuration bug that made all requests redirect to my other site gtx0.com. I also forgot to renew the domain name so it expired, got locked, and then became available again. I've re-bought conworlds.com and the old posts/etc are still on the server so nothing's actually been los...

Re: Océano de la Vida (Mindfuck Update pt 1 on page 2)

I figure it's time to go over some of the more arcane natural processes, since there isn't really a way to cover them in the context of Ora's story. First of all, some names to make things easier: * Cinturón Oscuro -- the entire area in between the bottom of the crystal area/top of the sky and the t...

Storks? No.. I wish I could think of the name of them, they're white and very tall, they might have black/brown spots, the head is similar to that of a quail. One big thing is that their tail/back/whatever feathers go down a long ways. It's probably best if you draw a diagram. @_@ http://i.imgur.co...

sooo... toroidal [hypertoroidal?] spatial geometry ? Well, if you noticed, there was no curve in the crystal field. The area from the bottom of the crystal field to the top of Segundo Mar is completely flat and curved through the fourth dimension onto itself, like some kind of tesseract. Because of...

Re: Océano de la Vida (Crystals & Landscape Art/Chart on pag

You guys aren't far off; the crystals system was inspired partially by the crystals system in an adventure game I was working on a while back which itself was heavily inspired by twilight princess. Also, the limited resources/technology was based heavily off of minecraft. The world was designed in s...
