Due to their longer life-spans, the Elcari probably have a wider sense of history than humans. I also recall that they're known to be more stubborn.. Have the Elcari of Arcél ever forgiven Uytai for the human-elcari wars which happened 1,400 years ago? Edit: Now that i think of it, (correct me if I'...

Fascinating. It makes sense, too. Why would a spirit, upon the death of the body, be instantly liberated from all its earthly (almea-ly?) ties? Are there any religions on Almea that preach reincarnation? After all, that is something that a couple billion people believe on earth, mostly in Asia. I'm ...

The map of 1300 describes the government of the Itsenic confederacies. Kleʔmet is said to have started its own confederation of tribes. I'm guessing the style of government, or anything else hasn't changed that much in that area except for the refugees coming in. From the looks of it, they just don'...

Of what location could the theoretical "next atlas" be then? Palthuknen!

but really...Neinuoi and Kereminth look like they have some advanced agriculture going on. How long have those civilizations been around? or are those just colonies..

wow. I've been wishing for this atlas since the one of Ereláe was put up! This is all very interesting. Arcél and Ereláe seem to be having similar historical patterns right now. The eastern barbarians are becoming dominant in Eretald at about this time, and 200 years later the Gelyet conquer everyth...

narcotics on Almea?

I was wondering if Almea has any unique psychotropic drugs (depressants, stimulants, opiates, etc.) that have had an effect on societies like, say, grass, opium or cocaine, etc. has on Earth? Have there been any conflicts over these substances? If they are unique to any Earth drugs, could you descri...

In a way this site has taught me a lot of patience. From the time I started coming here, which is when Cadhinor had a "new" icon next to it, I've been mainly waiting for two things: non-human languages, and information on other continents. The former has been greatly satisfied, but the latter is som...

There's no harm in asking. However, judging by the length of time between completely new languages being released, I'd say Chia-Sha won't be here for a while. Xurnash and the description of Endaju? will probably be here before it, too. Time flies though. It's hard to believe that it's been two years...

I really like these new installments. In only a few days the ancient South of Erel?e has been developed heavily. Now that you're on a roll I suppose you'll continue on to the present in this sphere. To learn that you'll have to wait for the next exciting installment of Almean Belief Systems Theater....

On the other hand, their thinking might change in the coming centuries as Almea becomes a modern world. What kind of ideas do you have for Almea for its next, say, 200 years? Anything besides some of the monuments mentioned in the Civ II scenario, and, of course, the war between Verduria and Dhekhn...

It's extremely difficult to draw a fight, especially an awkward fight like that, without using comic book "action lines" or little explosions where the punches or kicks connect. I think he did a good job. Nice drawing.

At least you know what disease you have. I don't. The doctor couldn't identify mine. All we know is that it's a viral rash. It's not chicken pox, it's not smallpox, and it's not measles. Incredibly bizarre. Maybe it flew over to this plane of existence from Almea.

I would say that Verdurians remind me more of Brazilians than Europeans. As far as I know, Verdurians have a kind of Hispanic hue, while the Xurnese and people from Skouras are more European-looking (as they have blonde hair). The Dhekhnami have a more light tan color (like Italians), and the T?llin...
