Sounds nice! Very englishy! I actually like the sound of English... well except for the fact that almost eveyr word is monosllabic. An agglutinative English would sound awesome, and Flaid sounds like that. :)

No, it was in The Lost Road. Earendel tells Alboin that he can go back in time if he wants to, but Alboin says its against the law (e.g., the laws of nature). Earendel replies that it is against the rule.

It would be interesting to see if Svetla's word base had that dipthongisation. Would be part of a branch off from Verdurian, maybe in the future it may gain lingual identity by becoming so unintelligent to the Mazhtane.
