Hmm, you mean an AdvP or something? Nearly isn't a preposition. Mmm, I'm bad in syntax :). I assumed a headless PP (if that's a thing), since "nearly every second" feels like a PP of time ("at nearly every second"), butI probably analyse it wrong. Anyway, it doesn't make it any less garden pathy :)...

Was ik werkelijk drie weken niet hier ? I'd say something like "Ben ik hier echt drie weken niet geweest?" or "Ben ik echt drie weken weggeweest?"
