Re: CCC Land Grab
I'd also like to un-grab my squares. Sorry to be a flake, but there was a sudden change in my work schedule. Good luck to everyone!

Re: CCC game - Voting rules discussion
For magic, I prefer either "more" or "weaksauce" over "none." I'd be fine with "none", though. I have a strong dispreference for "ladle it on." For species, I prefer "fantasy." When we vote for species, maybe we could vote for a "main" species, and then vote for species to include. All of the later ...

Re: Competitive collaborative conworld - CONTINENTS BY MON 2
Here's my submission. I like how the shape of the continent turned out, but I don't really know how to mountain. Sorry.

Re: CCC game - Voting rules discussion
I vote for
1. Allow anyone to vote.
2. No self-voting.
I'm also in favor of counting participants' votes twice. Is that easy to do with the polling feature?

Re: Competitive collaborative conworld
is it possible to skip a stage... I'm not particularly fond of design a whole new race of creatures aside from humans... though I do have an idea on a race of skeletal-looking humanoids... Agree with this too. Making a whole new race is just such a complicated thing... and if we're just going to be...

Re: You
I grew up merging "pin" and "pen", but have mostly shed this habit. When I'm sober, anyway. I've heard both "stick pin" and "straight pin", which to me are synonymous and refer to the kinds of pins you have to pull out of new shirts. I've only heard "stick pin" from older people; friends of my grand...

Almean superstitions
I dunno if Zompist gets irritated by frequent idle questions about Almea, but I've been thinking about superstitions for my conworld, and it made me curious about such things on Almea. So, what are some common superstitions in Almean countries? Are any days, activities, or numbers considered lucky o...

On the Origin of Species
Approximately where on Almea did each of the Thinking Kinds first evolve? How and when did they spread to the other continents? The Iliu simply swam, of course, but how 'bout the others?
It's just an idle question I had.
