" I Wish I Was Thomas Bangalter " by Dreams West My dad was so done with Netflix once they started raising prices because we don't even find a need to use it much anymore. Neither he nor I watches movies all that often, and my mom tends to prefer Malayalam movies IIRC, which are much, much easier to...

Re: Conlang relay [relocated] (aka "The Cursed Relay")
Could someone get that Teyetáti lexicon back up please? Because I could really do with some more input from that language. I should probably also see about adding more Tari to the table. Yep . I should probably (finally) get back to Tkeḏ sometime this weekend…it'd be nice to revisit T1, one of my f...

Re: Conlang relay [relocated] (aka "The Cursed Relay")
Some provisional progress. Commentary is invited and welcomed. It seems that a bit over five years ago, Legolasean wrote a two-sentence article about the continent wherein he names the people "Zashai-kas" 'Sun people'. I've tried to keep reasonably close to that name (taking <z> as an affricate), co...

Thank you very much!
Just to make sure I have this right (because I'm having a little trouble making sure the colors are correct), roughly north-to-south is Cfa, Dfa, Dfb, Dfc, correct?

Re: Conlang relay [relocated] (aka "The Cursed Relay")
I have a few questions regarding the general history and background of Akana. Would anybody be able to get on either Discord (preferred) or IRC in order to discuss this? Also, I've been noting people updating various Akana-related topics in this thread. Is it OK to post updates here as well or shoul...

Go ahead! Since you're working on an almost entirely undescribed continent, there's nothing you really need to be aware of, apart from the settling date which you've already got right. Cool, thanks! Might I suggest you change the name to something which is easier to remember though? Qwa:s !etfãmuǝ:...

Would anybody mind if I started working on my "Antarctic" proposal again? I know I've let it fall to the wayside…

Re: Caber Logograms
While possession would seem (to me) to be an easily constructed extension of observation, I'm not sure the same argument for obligation would be as convincing. So, 'my eyes are toward it' does suggest possession (or at least tentative possession) it does not suggest (to me) that something "must be ...

Re: Caber Logograms
I'm thinking that one Caber cognitive metaphor would be SEEING IS POSSESSION . Then, from POSSESSION IS OBLIGATION , one could logically extend this to SEEING IS OBLIGATION . Maybe some verb tenses could be derived from 'see'—perhaps a future tense, or a desiderative. So you could get constructions ...
