I'm always amazed at how fired up people get over the whole "Lego/Legos" thing... Personally I've lived in both England and Australia and have never heard someone use "Legos" in real life. I don't remember it ever being specifically referred to when I lived in England.
In Australia, everyone I've heard has called it a nature strip.

Does changing the font (to a unicode font) on the last tab fix it? It's now set to use DejaVu Sans by default, and if you don't have it it will probably default to something ugly and non-unicode, so installing DVS might work too.
