Woah I'm surprised my thread is still around! I wonder what else has happened since my departure from the ZBB. We had Charlie, you see... Go over to the thread in the Ephemera before it gets pruned as it's been locked quite recently. Oh man, I could read this forever , I'm currently at page six. No...

I would wonder how that ejective t got there, especially as it's not even the most easy to produce ejective consonant. Perhaps he meant a palatalized t, if so, use /c/, /tʲ/, /tʃ/ etc. It was ejective. Phonetics really isn't my strong point (well, nothing is, as I speak solely Australian English, w...

This is where the test gets devious: 40-42 say "not allowed", while 31-39 say "allowed". I'm assuming that you haven't noticed this, because it is necessarily impossible for both 39 and 41 to be red. I must admit that I completely missed that. No wonder it seemded a bit repetitive. That brings me u...

Oh god, why are there so many? My brains are fried! Oh well, here goes: 1. Absence of any phonemic POA for stops further back than velar [half mark for only one stop-POA behind velar, or for prominent allophonic stops behind velar] 2. Phonemic voicing [half mark if voicing is only part of the distin...
