Re: Venting thread

Tomorrow's my late husband's birthday. I'd planned to spend it with a friend who lost her husband the year before me (almost to the day), but she's cancelled (she had a funeral to go to). I don't want to be by myself but I also don't want to get together with just anyone. I know a lot of kind peopl...

Re: Venting thread

Wow! It must be quite strange seeing them for a first time in your life as it can take 17 years. Well there are different broods that come out at different times in different places. Brood X just means 10 like the Roman Numeral, so yeah it sounds scary, but coincidentally it is also the biggest and...

Cicadas are here 4 years early. It's God's punishment for Trump. Apparently they are supposed to be part of Brood X, they come out every 17 years and are scheduled for 2021 but some have come out now. Every morning when I walk to school I get surprise attacked Japanese-style by these kamikaze fucker...

Re: Venting thread

Because, you know, a vaguely centrist candidate is just as evil as a right-wing extremist. What is even the point of being a Centrist? Nothing ever gets done. I'd rather have a Pinochet-esque despot throw insurgents out of a helicopter than an apolitical wimp who puts his head in the sand while we ...

Re: Venting thread

If I could make a conlang with a stem-root classification system like Ithkuil and a verb paradigm like Georgian, I'd be sooo happy. Honestly, I just want to make one conlang. I don't want it to be another Eragon-y, Tolkien-y European looking language. I want it to be original. I want a phonology tha...

Re: Venting thread

I'm voting Macron, personally. I don't particularly like the guy, but I don't have much of a choice. It's obvious that Le Pen will win the first round, the only question is who is going to be second. I dread to see Fillon vs Le Pen on the second round: I'd be forced to vote for Fillon, and I really...

I told my friend that he was a distraction, but I didn't mean it to be so negative. Technically he is a distraction from school and I distract myself by hanging out with him. Re: Venting thread

Well, for one, saying "the EU literally needs to die" sounds a lot like trolling, especially since, as the EU is an organisation and not a living organism It's called hyperbole. It's just your, rather unimportant, personal opinion NO U Thirdly, you seem to be obsessed by "saving" Europe. What kind ...

Why do people think I'm trolling because I have different political views? The EU literally needs to die and Wilders and Le Pen are the only ones who can save Europe at this point.

The group meeting went well today. I do the same with Russian. Actually as I was walking home just now, I was guessing the declension of the word чувство (feeling) aloud and then looking on wiktionary to see if I was right.
