Also, as an aside. Been working on the syntactic stuff, hope it helps with whoever eventually works on the reconstruction.

Re: Conlang relay [relocated] (aka "The Cursed Relay")
So, I've been thinking, maybe we should try seeing if /r/conlangs on reddit is up to reconstructing proto-T1?

Re: Romanization challenge thread
In both of these languages «i» is the higher vowel, though. True that, I could have used <e> for both or even <i> & <y>, but it wouldn't have been aesthetically pleasing. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ /m n...

Re: Romanization challenge thread
Pinyin uses <e> for everything from ɘ to ɤ, so there's at least one precedent. Also, <i> for ə isn't that weird, given that's one of the realizations of unstressed <i> in English.Pole, the wrote:That's a tad unintuitive./[…] ɘ […]/ <[…] e […]>

Re: Protolang Reconstruction Challenge (Akana)
I notice someone has added data for "Proto-Far Western" to the table; a language that has never been mentioned before AFAIK, and doesn't seem to be especially closely related to any of the known other T1 languages. I'm curious. What's up with this? That was me, it's sort of a side project for when ...

Re: Protolang Reconstruction Challenge (Akana)
Good thing I started working on my stuff again. Don't worry no major changes. The NEB language is set in stone as far as sounds go, the only thing I'm working on there is fleshing out the grammar and beefing up the lexicon, also correcting the name to Thaxarevemni [tʰɑ.xɑ.ɻe.vem.ni]. Most of the wor...

I guess the easiest way to explain it is that the indefinite singular acts like a singulative, that is, it represents one (out of a group).

Re: Akana Conlang Relay 2011 (The Never Ending Relay)
Here's my Lexicon for PNEB now with the name Ḏoarevutan (from PNEB *ðo͡ɑ.ɻe.vu.tɑ <Ḏoarevuta>). I'm working on descendants now that I know enough about diachronic conlanging where I'm comfortable with my own work and edits are coming to the article on Akana wiki, slowly but surely.
