Tata was under a different name at the time, but board won't let me use some of the characters in it.

Nah, there are bizzare leaps and logical errors right the way through. Great fun. Try picking the answers that lead you through and revel in the feeling of your brain making muted meep! noises. I particularly like how it lumps absolute morality in with logic, math, and science, preventing you from ...

It would be jolly well ungentlemanlike of me not to indicate to your honorable person the superiority of #erelae over its sisters (those being #almea and #isharia) with respect to both quality of discussion and livelihood of company, the latter in which I humbly include myself as probable cause. Of...

Are short vowels in a monosyllabic word pronounced as if they are stressed or unstressed? For example, is fear pronounced /f_jar/ or /f_j@r/? If they aren't, then fear is possibly an irregularly spelt member of the first declension. Also, is the question particle an in any way related to the copula?...

Do the endings have irregular pronounciations? Because I've read in some places that they are, and in others that they aren't. For instance: tuigim /tig_ji:m_j/ tuigeann /tig_ja:n/ tuigimid /tig_jim_jid_j/ tuigtear /tig_jt_jar/ I think that's how they're pronounced. :? But: ?laim /o:lim_j/ ?lann /o:...

Could you say what you like about Dutch? And what other West Germaninc languages - except for apperently English - do you know Well, Dutch is very close to German, which I like, but I've come to find that it sounds better. Not nearly as harsh. Also, the orthography is cool. :) And the only West Ger...

1) What's the real pronunciation of 'w'? I think I've heard it as more of a 'w' and in Comrie's World's Major Languages book, they used a script 'v' (or maybe upsilon) for that sound. IIRfC, it's /P/. (Not sure it's the right X-Sampa, it's a labiodental approxiament) Nice thread. If I was going to ...

i think the Monkhayic peoples that were around before the Eastern Invasion are somewhat like the Celts. and why aren't there any isolates in Erelae? where's Erelae Basque? Just found this thread, and decided to try my hand at it:

Proto-Eastern: *Morawtu asītse sawi
CARROT-acc LARGE-acc BE-1sg
Cadhinor: MORUTh BOLGES SAI
CARROT LARGE BE-1sg

I used carrot for both, but I had to retrace the PE word. I don't think it's right, but it would end up as MORUTh.

A participle is a noun that isn't an actual permanent thing, but just an entity created by the verb. e.g. "the one who is judging right now". Some languages express these as if they were regular nouns, some treat them as verb forms. English does neither, we have to use a phrase. Maybe I'm not under...
