Re: The armies of a conworld

3) What are the best tactics to defeat an army? ...? You want a summary of the entire science of tactics in one sentence? OK: move your resources in a way unanticipated by the enemy, that allows you to concentrate forces where your enemy is weak, but that also minimised risk to yourself, and cost i...

The armies of a conworld

A while ago, I have started to write my definite version of the history of my conpeople, the Moranians and their relatives. Re: Questions about conlangs in history.

One possible candicate could be the so-called Voynich Manuscript.
It is a medieval book, written in a scribe that hasn't been decoded by anyone.
We are not enterily certain what the book contains : one of the guesses is "a tract on alchemy".

Re: Lowan: A Germanic conlang

Does Lowan preserve the ablaut ? Great conlang, by the way. I am from Belgium and I like the alternative origin of Leuven. There is some discussion among toponimists about the origin of Leuven : 1) Leuven is derived from two Germanic words : lo (forest) and ven (swamp). Leuven means 'forest in the s...

Louwmaand / Looimaand (January) : from the activity of leer looien (to tan leather), that was mostly done in January Sprokkelmaand (February) : from the Roman purification feast the spurcalia , that was celebrated in February. The name changed by the influ...
