Re: to do x back

In French, we would add re- to the verb
Je le lui ai redonné
1s.nom 3s.acc 3s.dat aux.prf re-give-part

I gave it back to him

or we would add en retour, the french equivalent of "in turn" or "in return"
Je l'ai frappé en retour
1s.nom 3s.dat aux.prf hit-part in return

I hit him in turn

Good thing I didn't keep anything important there.

Re: Proto-Khakrhaf (Napankuak Ruakiro ko) scratchpad

I see the problem of not having /s/ or /z/, it's a sort of gap between the fricatives and affricates as well. Lemme edit that real quick. Proto-Khakrhaf (Napankuak Ruakiro ko) scratchpad

So, I've been lurking around here for a while and I've finally gotten around to doing some actual conlanging so I'm going to do stuff with my hopefully not too KSL firstlang here (Although I'm not sure if the endonym is long enough :P ). So anyway, here's the Phonology There are six vowels http://i....

'Le Jour de l'An' by La Bolduc. Not too proud, but it's such an earworm.

C´est dans l´temps du jour de l´an
on s´donne la main, on s´embrasse
C´est l´bon temps d´en profiter
ça arrive rien qu´une fois par année

etc.

Re: Help Create the Telanesian Language

Some people might want to help, but IMHO you should make the lang on your own. Nothing's ever going to get done if you crowdsource. You'll probably just end up gouging your eyeballs out.

Re: Conlanging Software Wish List

Mh, I think s/he rather means automatic transcription. However, that's not always so easy, and English is a good example here: graphemes may have different phonemic values depending on context, sometimes unpredictably so – e.g. 〈-ough〉 in through, rough, hiccough, lough ; it's also why 〈ghoti〉 can'...

*Being able to associate IPA symbols to a certain set of characters, then having it generate the IPA pronunciation automatically. I know there are sometimes irregularities, but it would help to have some base to edit.
