Then having such long words doesn't really make much sense. :p
But now the sentences are shorter (by the wordcount metric).

Lulani is an Hawai'ian name. My name for the goddess Sa'imi is Caemi, which was an acronym for a particular Brazillian mining company , which makes reading that Wikipedia article quite odd. So, no, I don't rename languages. Unless someone actually complained, I guess. Could I get away with having a ...

Re: Your first conscript

I made my first conscript in pixel art in Applesoft BASIC, on my old //e. It seems fitting that I now use my knowledge of HTML/JavaScript to bring it to the 21st century. Here it is. I had been learning the (mostly syllabic) Japanese at the time, so I made this an abugida, with 'a' as the implicit v...

"Ryan" is my first name.
"Of" is an English preposition, here used to imply association of the two proper nouns.
"Tinellb" is my con-universe. I made the name up when I was in primary school.

Re: How to convince an ENG teacher that there aren't 6 Tense

I remember being surprised, even after finding out the difference between tense and aspect, that English actually only has two tenses, not three (syntactically, at least). Past and non-past. Our "future 'tense'" uses an auxiliary every bit as much as the past perfect does. Wait, even with the her no...

I'm a born and raised Melburnian. For me, the grassy area between footpath and street is called the "nature strip". Tactile Diglossia

Do you have separate pronouns? Are the markers agglutinative, fusional, suppletive with one another?

While High Lulani does not have verbal agreement, its pronouns seem to be similar to those you've described, so probably neither of us are the first to think this way.

Re: The Nine Worlds: Traditional Fantasy Reimagined

In the word "Muspel," the second syllable is emphasized. Removing the "is" may lead readers to emphasize the first to maintain meter. In song, there's a principle where excess leading syllables are softened to fit a rhyme scheme with fewer syllables. I don't know what it's called, but it applies he...

I am impressed by this, particularly the rhyme. I feel, however, that the meter could be improved by removing the 'is' on the second line. Hel is cold, Muspel hot. But yeah, that poem is awesome. Using known terms for unknown fantasy worlds can be problematic, but I'm sure you're already aware of th...

Re: Post your number system

As far as I can see, the problem with factorial number systems is the need to come up with more digits as the number gets longer. Of course, this might not be too much of a problem, even with only 10 digits, you can get up to almost 40 million. Lulani uses balanced pentadecimal. My number system I'm...
