I think that's fairly common - I have definitely heard and said [ʃtʊf] for stuff before.

Like asking someone to send nudes or something? That would be one example; another would be simply paying someone to make porn. And if you do so in a violent message where the lil chiddrens might see then you go to jail. From the NZ Herald: Burning prison love forces Corrections to send in the riot...

This thread is excellent, Sal! I've just finished working my way through the examples here. I stopped listening to classical music about the same time that I stopped seriously practising the piano, but this thread is perfect for getting back into it. I didn't know much Schubert but definitely like w...

Tutte le lingue oceaniche sono così con i loro avverbi temporali, no? Aren't all oceanic languages like that with their temporal adverbs? Je ne sais pas - le maori ne fait pas l'accord avec des adverbes temporels, mais avec une classe fermée des particules adverbiales. SJMSC le marquer du passif es...

Apparently the Papuan language Berik can inflect its verbs for 3 numbers, 5 tenses, 3 times of day, 2 distances, 3 sizes of object, 2 genders, sometimes 2 heights, as well as a continuous action marker (though not all at once it seems). The phrase kitobana means "he/she gives three large objects to ...

My private primary school had a kiln. Clay was one of my favourite art thingies; my parents still have a couple mini sculptures of mine at their place. I don't know how normal that is here though. I never did art at secondary school but as far as I know there was no kiln there.

I'm pretty sure Albanian does as well, and I would imagine there are enough hints and traces of it in the other modern languages that it would be possible to posit its existence, if not fully reconstruct it.
