Re: the phrase "Cheese omelette" in as many languages

In Greek I would say: ομελέτα με τυρί literally : Omelette with cheese I did some looking around for some wacky things like τυρομελετα that seemed very unlikely but possible, and came up with nothing. I looked around for things like that because a number of greek food things have compound names: αυγ...

I've decided to start a topic on my conlang called Gomah. I have much of it worked out, but I'm still hitting many parts. I hope that it will entertain you. For those involved, I plan on using it over in the kool map game. It will be the language of Jaawi Ruusih, however, I only plan on lending it t...

Maybe the orthography could be based on senses other than sight. What of the people who spoke this language wrote using utensils that have a specific smell to them (kind of like smelly markers). Then the paper or other parchment would capture the smell permanently. The orthography could also be tou...

Re: From X-SAMPA phonology to screenreader-friendly script

So, I'm jumping in the middle of this, but I want to be friendly. From what I have read, we have a member who is blind who uses text to speech software, yes? That's pretty incredible. Also, this software handles X-SAMPA better than IPA, so it is worth my time to provide sounds in X-SAMPA as well, co...

Re: Kool map game

As for the pirate haven Islands, JR never had a claim to them. I accidentally blooped it onto the map when making JR, and I forgot to take it off. Clawgrip accepted them as legitmate landmass and the pirates took it.

Maybe a Jaawi Ruusih map later today. Will see.
