Re: World Building/Non-linguistic Resources

Looks like Geoff Eddy(bricka)'s Creating an Earthlike Planet and Climate Cookbook pages have gone wherever webpages go when they lose hosting. Has Daistallia gotten the go ahead from bricka to host the pages? Failing that, I might PM him myself about hosting his pages on my WordPress site. I think I...

Looks like the conworlds.info domain has taken a turn for the dead. Fortunately, the conworlds bbs can still be reached at http://206.214.216.61/cwbb/index.php?si ... 9436f61de8.

It's ugly, but it works. Logging in is PITA!

Yeah, in my state, they couldn't decide, so they went with a two sided flag. I wish they'd just settle for the beaver and eliminate all the text.

We do, however, have a fairly unique flag.

I created a copy of my wordo on my hfs volume and... smoooth sailing. Looks like wordbuilder needs write permission on the wordo document to generate words a...

I assume you mean, "why me?" specifically in the lamenting sense rather than as, "why am I so lucky?," or, "why am I always the one who gets all the attractive members of the appropriate gender?"

liG'ruz gum(X-Sampa, more or less. Rhymes with DOOM): The sound is supposed to be onomatopoeic to what one hears when affectionately enveloped in the mantle of another. These folks resemble some kind of squid or cephalopod. This was meant to be a rough translation of, "hug." The next word is: lurid.

I take umbrage at this. I like to have at least one idea that is both green and colorless every morning before breakfast. I'm not a morning person.

Well, I've tried it on my mac without success. I've installed mono and gtk, but nothing. Mostly, I just boot to windows when I want to use wordbuilder and wilbur. I'm pretty much stuck on windows to use my ESRI apps, so that works.
