Japanese.

Then probably Spanish, French, Catalan, Irish, in that order.

Yeah, if you truly consistently get these senses from each of those words, then you might be a synesthete. (very few people truly are, so when you show us these words, most of us get no real sense from it, besides the vague hard or soft.

Re: Venting thread that embraces everyone without distinctio

Ow! And did it begin and get mended on the same day?? I think so, I only felt the pain when I woke up last Tuesday morning, and it took me a little while to get up and get the courage to go in, but she pushed it back in, and it hasn't hurt for several days now. I'm still trying not to overdo anythi...

Re: Happy Things Thread

I planned a cross-faction party for players of the game Ingress with a co-host, and we got about 30 people to show up.

I'm really happy because it went off well and we had a lot of fun. :)

Re: Venting thread that embraces everyone without distinctio

I had an inguinal hernia today, went to the urgent care center and had it taken care of. No meds or anything, but I should be fine as long as I don't strain myself.

Re: Happy Things Thread

Happy thing: I'm learning more about world history because I've been playing a semi-historical game called Europa Universalis IV. It's interesting learning about countries and kingdoms that existed in the mid 1400s. I've been reading about the Livonian Order (modern Latvia/Lithuania), Riga, the Teut...

After a few years of not having a bad cold, I suddenly got a bad cold on Tueday after walking around all day in the rain... (probably a bad choice). I'm getting better now, at least.

Re: The dream thread

Have you lived where tornadoes are a pretty normal thing? Actually no, but over time, like my volcano dreams and more recent tsunami dreams, they get more and more realistic visually, because I'm so fascinated by them. (my favorite movie is Twister, so I'm sure this contributed to it as a kid). Edi...

Re: The dream thread

Yes, I enjoyed it greatly. But last night's dream not so much: A perfectly pleasant dream about rain, then horrifying, as I scream out the windows to warn my dad and step-mom about a tornado, see it coming in the distance, then I hear some creepy voice out loud say "it must be fun to get the sticks,...

Re: The dream thread

Dreamed of an extremely handsome older policeman with jet black hair and blue eyes, and a thick mustache. He was smoking a bent stem briar pipe, and walked up to me to give me a ticket, which was really just an excuse to get me to write my name and number on a paper. I couldn't find a proper surface...
