I know the whole Anas thread has been officially quoted here, but for some reason I found myself laughing particularly hard at this little sentence: Maybe it is good that you visit one of your charming institutia that you have here, such as the psychedelist or the straitcoat. I just hope Ms. Osperpu...

A volcano that spews cold water. I've heard of ice volcanoes (on one of Jupiter's moons) but not water volcanoes. That's called a fountain. How many natural fountains have you heard of, aside from seaside blowholes? Well, there're geysers, aren't there, except they're hot water rather than c...

If Mark would be the only one to edit it, then it seems like a wiki would be kind of useless, since a wiki's major advantage is that anyone can edit it. Well, a simple database utility like a wiki would be convenient. I've often run into a similar problem on my site - I get lots of interesting idea...

You make it sound as if Zompist conlangs purely for our benefit ... I imagine (and I may be wrong) that the real reason he does it is because he gets some enjoyment out of it ... :) I'm sure he'll get around to it at some time, when he feels like it. Don't rush him though. He's only going to start m...

Sehr goodness. Incredible, actually.

It won't end; at least, it won't ever be finished. Things like this can't be. There's always something more to do.

I don't know why you'd picture it that way... It's similar to Earth's.
That's what I thought. And I was right, clearly.

Other densities would only cause problems ...

There do seem to be some sort of ears in Mark's 'If ktuvoki were waiters' drawing, at least. Like Mornche said, they don't stick out much.

Not that I don't admire Zomp's work or anything, but a) I don't have any reason to learn it and b) I'm useless at learning stuff anyway.

How could the great Zompist forget that? Even I remembered to include the odd epidemic when creating my somewhat patchy history of the Vix-Or.

Good point, though.

Otters are OK, but they're not really of interest to me. Animals which are are the badger (as with many people, it would seem - although my badger's been stolen) and the rabbit. The former is due to a crazed obsession of a friend of mine, the latter because I am a rabbit . Yes, you read that correct...
