Re: Triconsonontals
There's hints of it in Kebreni and Elkaril, but I'd like to do a full-fledged vowel-changing system. I've thought about doing so for Tzhuro, or perhaps Dhekhnami. Nifty. I don't know what state you live in, but in many license plates are a fine method of randomizing your roots. :) --Neon Fox Here w...

I'm pretty sure that's a palatal approximant. Maybe not as palatal as in some other languages, but it's definitely too far forward to be velar. You could be right. I've seen it grouped with the velars in English phonology charts. It's with the alveolar-palatals in the chart on zompist.com. I'm real...

In Latin, I get the two past tenses (perfect and imperfect) mixed up a lot; eg I'd write navigavit for "he was sailing" rather than navigabat , an) :? I used I also tend to mix y use that sort of construction instead of infinitives in Latin, eg porcum cibantem volo for "I want to eat the pig" inste...

/}ktSu@li/, the "God bless you thing" ties back to the Black Plague days. At least that's my understanding. Supposedly, the Church began telling people that the only medcine they needed was a blessing, and that the will of God would drive the plague out of them. So, everytime someone sneezes, "[God]...
