Re: Poetry?

One of the very reasons I created Xhaimeran in the first place was to use it for poetry, so yes there is a vast supply of poetry and song lyrics in my conlang. I've also translated a lot of material from Swedish poets Dan Andersson & Nils Ferlin.

Re: The Problem with Conlanging

If you have such a language, what did you do to keep it from going stale over the years? I created my language to use it and that's what I've been doing through the years. In music, poetry and conculturing. Also I've learned a lot about languages in general (bear in mind that I lack what people wou...

Re: ZBB member photos, part 5. (Gayer than rainbows and kitt

For some people on this board it seems as though they are afraid someone might mistake them for being hetero, so they have to constantly mention how gay they are. piss off, you'll never say such a thing about a hetero, will you?! it's always homos who are sooo in yo face with their sexuality, right...

What’s the opposite of a rainbow? And then what would asexual pride fly? The supposed heterosexual pride flag: http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/images/q/qq-het.gif Common, Victor! Re: The Problem with Conlanging

What I don't like is how when I tell people that "I'm making my own language", they always show one of these reactions: One, they'll overestimate and think I'm out to create the next Esperanto or something, when in reality I have no sociopolitical ambitions and Bengedian is simply a pet project, a ...

I guess most of what I intended to say when reading the topic post is already said. I may just add this... My conlanging/conculturing has expanded far beyond every single one of my original intentions and has given me hours and hours of true fun. It has gone from being just a (dubious) hobby into be...

Perhaps I should make a sample front page for a newspaper issued by whatever left wing party Falgwia has. Maybe an issue of the Falgwian Social Democrat decrying American consumerism taking hold. Or the "Falgwian United Taliban" and their theme issue "Brother Osama Remembered" (translated to Falgwi...

That could be arranged. I'll just assemble all chapters and make a pdf for you. Sounds great. I'm curious to see what it's like. And I never get the chance to read anything conlang-related in Swedish, so that'll be fun. Got a pdf assembled and ready. PM me your e-mail adress and I'll send it. When ...

Xhaimeran might be a candidate (or not). Against: Grammar & lessons all in Swedish, full word lis...

Re: I Will Learn Your Conlang

Also, @Count: whence the spelling difference between Xhaimeran and Summeran? Is it just an alternate romanization, or are they different things? Two names for the same language. Before the time/space distortion that now surrounds Xhaimera was put into place the neighboring realms referred to the Xa...

Wow. Xhaimeran sounds so... complete. True. One may like or dislike the language itself but it's as complete as I believe a constructed language can be and it's fully usable. Of course there are empty spots (I guess I could not write a nature guide in Xhaimeran and name every plant and animal in th...
