EDIT: it should be noted that "have lots of long words and have many doubled consonants" is just another way of saying "make it look like German".

Heh, I wasn't thinking of German at all. When it comes to languages with long words, I was thinking more like Nahuatl and Nuxalk.

RE: Nahuatl, don't discount it too much. It has a number of a affricates and the frequency of <tl> gives it an edge. I have enough exposure to their mythology that "Huitzilopochtli" and "Tezcatlipoca" are fairly sinister (and metal \m/) in themselves. You could try modifying the orthography just a little bit: hard c -> k, soft c -> z, hu/uh -> w. "Witzilopochtli", "Tezkatlipoka", "Ketzalkoatl", "ze atl", etc. And that gives you long words and angular letters.

finally, If you're feeling especially unscrupulous, you might make your militaristic language to resemble some mixture of arabic and russian: should work great for the american audience!

I think it's a few centuries too late to associate Arabic with militarism, but Russian sure. If your target audience are history buffs, maybe Turkish...

or Mongolian! which provides the benefit of Mongolian sounds exactly like anyone would figure it would
