Yeah, you can keep them as primitive as you want to.

And I think we should start now, or in a week, or something, if ever, cause the idea is for people to keep coming around, and we oldschoolers are gonna keep making spinnoffs of our cultures, so a point in which everyone is 'done' seems unlikely.

Well, how about when people say their culture is workable? Mine should be in a day or two.

Mine is pretty small, I think I could be ready in less than 4 days. I'm on break, so nothing better to do :D

I'm working on Ancient Bēðoth phonology right now, and being that I don't know shit about phonology, it's killing me.

I'd be happy to help with that a bit :D

(Next few days may be bizzy for me however, and as conculturing isn't exactly my strongest point, don't expect too much details before January or so — OTOH that was precisely one of my reasons for the isolated-ish choice of spot.)
Not actually new.

had my eye on this piece of land, anyway... perhaps i shall reserve it... and run off to invent a conprotolang for it (actually, I already have a name and phoneme inventory for it: proto-Eltagri).

i'm not very good at conculturing, though, and output is generally sporadic at best. so don't hold your breath.

May I join too? If I can, I'd like the dark green land south of moko and tresko. What is dark green?

That area looks like a good place to stick a whole bunch of ethno-linguistic lineages in, really.

Sounds fun, my people have gathered in relatively high densities along the border of the forest. Conflict shall ensue.

Can people please spell my name right? It has two 'r's, you can see them both right there.

Closer to a PNG; they seem reasonably isolated by the sea to the south and the desert/mountains to the north. (I'm counting Treskro's area as a part of this.) The land connections to west and east would probably spell for occasional invasions however.

OTOH, if humans are starting from Keskus, it looks like Ibabaw's population history would be more Amazon-like, so that may well be a better example for the general lineage density.

I'm free to start on this now. I'm naming my primary people the Àjkóspi and have a good idea of what I want to do with them; I've even worked out a basic phonology (lol) for them already, complete with goofy vowel harmony and three tones. I'll be adding information to the wiki very shortly.

I have a phonology. I think. It got messy after I fiddled around with it for a while. I'm not sure of the best way to present it, although I can show you some example words to show as an example of its messiness. Anyway, I'm going to leave it for the night (because I'm tired!) and pick it up again tomorrow, maybe.

In the proto lang (pronounced as IPA with double vowel = long):
doktiig jorbeed kupmaan dendgub baanjoog kikliit lud guultmegp griidk naatbru liirak eltagri mroontra tganko kapon jiltoh patuubni haankoo pgoom
In Eltagri:
ðɑʔtɪɑɣ jarvi:ð ʔopmæ:l ðentxov va:ʎjueɣ ʔɪtɬɪɑtʼ ɬoð ɣu:ɬtmeɸp ʀɪɑθ la:tfru ɬiɑrɑʔ ʔeɬtɑʀɪ m͡bruentr̊a kxɑŋka ʔɛʉbaɫ jɘɬta pɛʉtu:vlɪ ʔa:ŋkue pɸuem
In Eltagri orthography:
ðaqtiag jarvíð qupmál ðentguv váljueg qitliatq lluð gúltmevp griaðq látvru lliaraq qeltagri mruentra kganka qeupal jilta peutúvli qánkue pvuem

If you manage to pick it out, you'll notice that Eltagri is also called Qeltagri in the language because it has to have a glottal stop at the beginning of the word.

so, uh, what do

I have a sketch of the culture and their languages phonology, but, I don't know how to work wikis, I'm wikilogically impaired. -nods.- So, when I'm done, I'll just post it here and someone can do it for me. =D

Just a really quick sketch of Àjkóspi phonology:

N: /m n ŋ/ <m n ŋ>
T: /p t k ʔ/ <p t k '>
F: /s ʃ χ h/ <s x r h>
L: /w l j/ <w l j>

V: /i ɨ u e o æ ɑ/ <i y u e o æ a>

Vowel harmony. Harmonizes from beginning of word. /i e æ/ are front. /u o ɑ/ are back. /ɨ/ is neutral and resets word harmony. /j w/ will also reset word harmony to be front or back respectively, wherever they occur. When /u o ɑ/ occur after front vowels, they become [y ø æ]. When /i e æ/ occur after back vowels, they become [y ø ɑ].

Three tones, high, middle and low. High tone is marked with an acute accent, low tone is marked with a grave accent, middle tone is not marked.

Syllable structure: C(C)V(C). Acceptable syllable-initial clusters are NT, NF, NL, TF, TL, FL, sχ, ʃχ.

I won't be marking when /i u/ become [y] and /e o/ become [ø]; it should always be predictable from context.
