Unfortunately, I haven't heard from Markus for a few years. If you went to see him, I'm sure he'd be happy to show you his ambassadorial credentials, calligraphed on parchment in Swedish and Verdurian.skrivihop wrote:Is it active?

I wonder if we could make a Verduria-Terra Pvlchra embassy. Probably not, as Terra Pvlchra is always trying to overthrow the Verdurian government in my fanfics.

"There was a particular car I soon came to think of as distinctly St. Louis-ish: a gigantic white S.U.V. with a W. bumper sticker on it for George W. Bush."
How does one answer a question like that?Amulek wrote:Aren't there many years and/or universes between Verduria and Terra Pvlchra?Eddy the Great wrote:I wonder if we could make a Verduria-Terra Pvlchra embassy. "Ah, checked with the improbaballisticians; they're precisely 52.6 universes apart."
It just seemed off for a relatively primitive society to have an embassy with Eddy's ultra-modern/futuristic world. Though, since Verduria and Terra Pvlchra are both conworlds/concultures/conwhatever, couldn't you mutually agree on the span of time or space between the two? (Not that I'm asking you to; just a reply to your question).

The same is true of Sweden, though, and the Terps have ways of traveling between universes. The real problem is whether the Terps would bother. They generally either advocate isolationism or inciting anarchist revolutions for humanitarian reasons.Aren't there many years and/or universes between Verduria and Terra Pvlchra?

I think King Alric needs to appoint another ambassador. This one seems to treat the post like a sinecure.
Why not appoint some of us as ambassadors? And why should Verd?ria get all the fun? What about ??sifo?

Shouldn't they be inciting revolutions throughout the multiverse as we speak?Eddy the Great wrote:The same is true of Sweden, though, and the Terps have ways of traveling between universes. Assuming ours is an average universe, there's a lot of governments out there to topple.

Well, the Terps spend much of their time toppling governments in their universe (the manga I'm writing takes place over several months and yet the Terps overthrow no less than two governments in that time span). However, they prefer to stay in their universe until the forseen War of Peace (see ZBB wiki or my site) occurs.Shouldn't they be inciting revolutions throughout the multiverse as we speak?

Do you happen to know how to get in touch with him? If I got an e-mail adress or anything valuable in that sense I'd gladly try to contact him.

Ave so kal!
Greetings from the Verdurian Embassy in Sweden!
Yes it still exists and I still hold the credentials for the Dalomn?e im Bruramersh.
To make a long story short, it were much activity in the embassy at the time we started out, with language courses and more social gatherings. We made some real books that included grammar and dictionary of the Verdurian language, and we began the task of creating a grammar in Swedish (!) and a Verdurian ? Swedish, Swedish ? Verdurian dictionary. We have from time to time tried to contact Almea and its creator, but due to unforeseen difficulties and events, we are still without contact. Hopefully this will open up a new channel. The time on Oikumene have not been the easiest for the embassy but the King?s law is still in effect here.
Sincerely

The books are in storage... the people are not.
There have been a long time of inactivation in the embassy and due to communication difficulties with Almea, amongst other things, we have seen it fit to release the embassy?s personal from duty so they were able to integrate themselves into Swedish society. As Ambassador I still hold the records and material in safe storage, hoping of a day like today I would be able to start to transfer them to our King.
