good idea + good idea = GREAT idea.

Questions or discussions about Almea or Verduria-- also the Incatena. Also good for postings in Almean languages.

good idea + good idea = GREAT idea.

Post by xirion »

something similar to this was brought up in the Conlang forum, but i never though of doin it with verdurian.

four words: Flash Movie in Verdurian.

maybe it can be about one of the stories that Zomp wrote, or one of the Verdurian Biblical stories, whatever, just so we could hear the language being comonly used. as we know, hearing a language spoken increases the pace you can speak it, at least, quickly. although, i admit, that i dont know anyone that makes flash movies, or else i would not be posting the idea, i'd post the final works. anyway, if anyone wants to do it, Feel free to use the idea. although i would bet someone else already thought of it... :( but, if someone is inspired to do something here, i would feel... uplifted :D anyway, if anyone does it, let me know how i can help.

danke fuer deine Zeit,
Xirion

This thread appears to have lain dormant for several months, so I thought I might at least ... resurrect it, so we can at least see I Zomp's going to comment, &c. &c., because it does seem like rather a good idea.

Really I'm just increasing my post count. Which is pointless, because I already have several times more posts than I actually need.

... I actually like the idea. I think there should be more user-based media around the conlang, which is why I do things like fanfiction stories set in Almea, and a soon enough webpage (http://cemura.penguindeathsquad.com -- no, it isn't up yet. :P).

Nonsense, you can never have too many posts.

In fact, since last year I've been working on a Flash file.

The language learning idea is good. What I don't have, tho', is a good sound recording/editing tool for the Mac. Can anyone recommend one?

You could try WireTap Pro. It says it's $19.00, but you can get an older version for free from Download.com.

Edit: Okay, Download.com lies. It's not free.

Try Audacity. It actually is free.

holy crap... i totally forgot about this 'til i reread it. i was just reading it going "did someone hack my account"? but, i actually did write that.

i still stand by the idea... and if someone does flash, but has no lang, feel free to use mine, or (i'm guessing here, better to ask zomp directly) you can (probably) use Verdurian, or Barakhinei, or any of those.

anyway, thats Curlyjimsam for ressurecting this, i totally forgot about it.

Seconded. I also use the classic "Sound Studio", but I don't think it's free. A demo may be available. It's simpler than Audacity, but less powerful. And crashes more.

Is Zomp on Classic Mac (9.2 or earlier) or OS X? Sound Studio comes with OS X, and is quite handy...
