Animals...
Animals...
Does this world have any animals, insects, creatures other than the civilized?

I assume you're talking about Almea.
If so, the best place to begin is probably the section of the Verdurian thematic dictionary that discusses animals: there's a fairly large listing there.
There's a planned Biology of Almea that Zompist plans one day to release that will have detail on crops, animals, etc. But that's pretty far in the future, I think it's fair to say.

Remember that all of those are approximate. When the thematic dictionary mentions an Earth animal, Mark means some similar to that aninal, but not the same.So Haleza Grise wrote:If so, the best place to begin is probably the section of the Verdurian thematic dictionary that discusses animals: there's a fairly large listing there.

D'oh. That's what I get for not actually reading the introduction text...
I could've sworn I say Mark mention that here on the board some time ago, rather than it appearing in the dictionary itself.
Ah well.
