What is "win" in Elkaril?

Questions or discussions about Almea or Verduria-- also the Incatena. Also good for postings in Almean languages.

Or "victory" for that matter? I can't seem to find either in the lexicon.

I was gonna make a compound for you, but I can't find any fitting words...There's ggimusha, "competition", and tad, "ally, support", but not much else...

I've always loved the gloss for bbuj: "batshit insane".

Yes, neither of those really seems to lend itself to the problem. Thanks for making the effort, though! How do I ask Zompist? Just put his name in the subject line?

You wait for me to get around to it.

To prevail, as a physical fact, is k?nd (literally 'cause to be on top'). The related purposive (to defeat an enemy or win glory) is q?d.

The opposites are ch?nd and q?d.

Thank you!

Sorry, Mark: I hope I didn't sound as if I was making a demand. Wasn't meant as such.

Thank you very much. Incidentally, would nk?ndur?l then mean "victorious people"?

Nicholas (hence my interest in this word)

That's a little baroque... just nk?ndaj would do. (The n- already indicates 'person', and -aj pluralizes it.)
