Uesti? humans?

Questions or discussions about Almea or Verduria-- also the Incatena. Also good for postings in Almean languages.

Uesti? humans?

Post by Aurora Rossa »

What exactly are the Uesti? Is the U even pronounced like English's W often is?

As I mentioned yesterday, a lot of info about Almea is already out there  (although not everything; I'm always waiting for more).

Maknas' link helps answer the first question; as for the second, the term uesti follows the rules of Verdurian phonology, which indicate that the "u" is pronounced as a separate vowel, not like an English "w"--so that the word has three syllables: "u-e-sti," with the accent on the second syllable.

Hope that helps!

p@,
Glenn
