I had an odd dream last night (well, this morning, really); and it's esp. odd because I almost never rememeber my dreams.
Napoleon conquered Russia; and the people in Russia were speaking Verdurian. Hmm; is Verdurian what might have resuled had the Russian winter not taken the Little Emperor out?

Almean Dream
"On that island lies the flesh and bone of the Great Charging Bear, for as long as the grass grows and water runs," he said. "Where his spirit dwells, no one can say."
One point misses: the cases (the Verdurian cases are not really similar to the Russian ones, are they?) But they can also be explained: WW-II took some longer, so that Hitler was able to conquer Russia for some years (Verdurian was already spoken there back then, but without real cases). Because the National-Socialist leaders found that any language of the New Europe should have cases, so they made them obligatory in all writings.
Btw. Of course, all ????-signs (you know, those red ones with white letters, which you find next to roads) were replaced with ????-ones - you all know that STOP was a word of the enemy. And you also know that they actually did that here in the Netherlands

That's definately an unusual dream!
Verdurian has nominative, accusitive, genitive, and dative. Russian has the same, plus prepositional and instrumental. So I guess these two could have been lost somehow?daan wrote:One point misses: the cases (the Verdurian cases are not really similar to the Russian ones, are they?)
What? I only see question marks...daan wrote:Btw. I thought this thread was referring to the Almean version of the American dream...
The man of science is perceiving and endowed with vision whereas he who is ignorant and neglectful of this development is blind. The investigating mind is attentive, alive; the mind callous and indifferent is deaf and dead. - 'Abdu'l-Bahá
