The Ilii, how technologically advanced are they? (Sorry If this question has already been answered) But are they anywhere near where Earth bound humans are in the techology department? (US)

All I know for sure is in the Count of Years commentary... in short, it looks like they were very advanced indeed, more in the realm of s.f. than fantasy. However, either they've forgotten or lost some of this technology, or they choose to live in a simpler way, or (perhaps most likely) a sufficiently advanced technology, plus iliu values, looks like a simpler lifestyle. (Our own rip-roaring through the environment is probably just a phase.)
