THIS board has been running for one year and two months, but there was the old board which dated back until 2000.

Mainly because I think that fake Janko got everyone just generally grumpy and pissed of at the whole affair, and they didn't really give a damn about Janko any more.

I got a message from him a few weeks back. It was just the Yahoo address, but it was notable for the fact that it (probably) had a virus.

I think some program might have gotten hold of the userlist from here, I got a virusmail from a 'jonathan_avidan@yahoo.com'. it was the same text as about 20 other virusmails I got at the time, so it got deleted. Interesting, tho.

I've gotten viruses from Finlay and other people here at the ZBB, but they are all faking the From: address. I get so many of them because my email starts with andrew@ that I will probably change addresses soon.

Speaking of getting virused (is that actually a word?) e-mails, I've checked my e-mail account earlier and I got four messages that had attachments with viruses with them. I don't even know who those messages are from. One of them said "your big love,

It's strange how people can seem to get virused messages from people who didn't send them anything. How exactly does that kind of thing happen, anyway?

The viruses look around in likely places on an infected computer for e-mail addressess then they send out infected messages to some of the addresses it finds with from headers forged to look like they came from another address it found on the computer. I'm guessing someone who reads the ZBB is infected; everyone who reads should check for viruses (you don't have to actually post). here's a decent virus scanner you can download. Also look for any of the following files in your Windows directory:

FVProtect.exe
userconfig9x.dll
SysMonXP.exe (28,008 bytes)
Firewalllogger.txt (23,040 bytes)
base64.tmp (38,382 bytes)
zippedbase64.tmp (28,330 bytes).
zipo0.txt (38,834 bytes).
zipo1.txt (38,822 bytes).
zipo2.txt (38,826 bytes).
zipo3.txt (38,826 bytes).
base64.tmp (40,520 bytes)
zip1.tmp (40,882 bytes)
zip2.tmp (40,894 bytes)
zip3.tmp (40,886 bytes)
zipped.tmp (29,834 bytes)

these are a sign of infection by the viruses that have been showing up in my inbox.

And in any case, I'm still your senior, so I have precedence. Post count is for the weak-minded and the spammers.

In fact, the only people who DON'T have precedence over me are Zomp and Joe User. SHG, Ran, Iscun, and Jaaaaaa (and probably Glenn) also joined the same day as me, but I posted first. Zomp joined the day before and hence has precedence over anyone. Joe User is an enigma and hasn't posted in ages.

That is, if we're going by the ZBB calendar. A few people were before me at the old VV message board.
