Almea through the years

Questions or discussions about Almea or Verduria-- also the Incatena. Also good for postings in Almean languages.

Almea through the years

Post by Ran »

Those of you who had their worlds for some time, you'd probably know what I'm talking about: as the years go by, all of your countries are slowly modified and remodified until your original world has been totally replaced.

So, here's a question to Z what did your world look like back then? What did Almea look like during the D&D days? Before the D&D days? What did it look like when you first thought up the word "Verduria"? Of course, how did you decide to call your country "vegetable"? :D

It hasn't changed terribly much, just expanded in scope... the first map I drew was of the vicinity of Verduria-- roughly, the top half of the kingdom, plus the Western Wild. Unfortunately I didn't keep this map, nor the initial version of the city map. Next was a map of the Plain-- I still do have a version of this, with some place-name changes; then a map of eastern Erelae; then the whole continent; then the southern hemisphere; then the planet.

Verduria was created for the D&D campaign... I created plenty of fantasy lands before it. I don't think I kept any of them, except for an s.f. world (maps and language) I worked on as a teenager.
