I was looking at the map on the Cu?zi grammar and I didn't understand something on it. There seem to be three different types of blue, dotted lines on it-- the thicker, dashed line running vaguely northwest from Cuzei; the more irregular, dotted lines running around the border of the Somoyi-Methelyi; and a whole bunch of other, thin, dotted lines running perpendicularly to the Elkaril Mountains. I couldn't figure out what any of these were; could I request an explanation?

Sure. Unfortunately, coloring in the map washed out the blue lines in general (this was before I had Photoshop).

The thickish dashed lines are intermittent rivers; the others indicate relief-- either the edges of the plateaus on either side of the Lernukh, or the tops of minor mountain ranges.

Ah thanks, I figured some of them at least had to be intermittent rivers. By the way, how can you predict geographically where intermittent rivers will be, and how do they work?

Well, sometimes it rains, and they're full; other times it doesn't, and they're not :P .

They're quite common round here.

They should appear where there is a rainy season followed by completely dry weather-- or in deserts where rain is a freakish event.
