Help with my Verdurian homework

Post by Sky Lizard »

Emai, board!

I'm going to try the Practical Course for fun. Here's my go at the onteca for the first lesson.

Exercise 2 a little about my family [not real people]
Et nomai Roberto. Ai sul?om. Piro es? e Arturo, er mira es? e Laura.
S?dra sulete es? e Sara.

Kuzulo es? e Tito N?colei. Cira li? e Sara Mihelei.
Exercise 3 a discussion on the street
- Emai, Tito!
- Emai, Gra?enom Mihel. Kiel l?de?
- Bo?e! Er le?
- Bo?e, bo?e. D?kuy.
...
- Ad onlel?n.
- Ad onlel?n!
Some thoughts:

1. Is E tana or Er tana Verdurian for "and besides"?
2. Reveca Titel? Ac rho, ava es? e Reveca Solomei...
I guess that's a typo; should be Reveca Titei.

No, tana means 'indeed'. 'Besides' is translated several ways, depending on context; see the dictionary if you need to know.

You're right, d?kuy!

I'm going to use this thread to ask someone, zompist if possible to correct my homwork too.
Fourth Lesson's Onteca

1. Costruct some sample sentencesa using the verbs you learned in theis lesson and the object pronouns.

Ilat er ilet silorai.
Ilat er eř suzano.
Eř řo ubliei.
M? tr?uei?

2. Put your sentences into the past tense.

Ilat er ilet silornai.
Ilat eř suzanno.
Eř řo ublinai.
M? tr?unei?

3. Translate into Verdurian:

The father has a son who is a fool. He went to buy bread and sausage at the market, but he forgot the sausage. Who can forget to buy something (shto) at the market? Today he was at the market again (on) and he forgot his money.
But his daughter is not a fool. She can go to buy something and she can remember them. Her father says, go! She buys apples, pears, mead, bread-- everything. And she brings them to him. You can trust her; you can't trust a fool.

So piro tene ket meď e nr?sk. Fue emec yon er milka ne so mer??n er ilet ubline soa milka. Ke epe ublian emec ?tam ne so mer??n? Elud?no fue on ne mer??n er ilet ubline kuna.
Ac ilet meca řo e nr?sk. Epe l?dan emec ?tam er epe cam suzane. Ilat piro mis, l?danei! Eme luomi, čuram, ??h, yon - fs?. Er cam ilet amete. Ilat epei cun?san; řo epei nr?sk.
Non omne id quod fulget aurum est.
