Verdurian stress & diphthongs
How and when do diphthongs form in Verdurian, and how does that afect stress? I've read the page on phonology but I don't understand.

It's surprising to know that Verdurian doesn't really have diphthongs with the exception ë. Elsewhere, they are formed generally with syllabic y (though I think i in the coda results in it being syllabified). That is, uestu really is [u "e stu], rather than ["we stu].
Edit: On second glance, Zompist writes Two vowels should be divided (řo-se-or, nu-o-tan); however, if the second vowel is an i or u it tends to form a diphthong with the previous vowel instead (au-dec, to-scei-o).. So yeah.
