What's the standard ink color in Verduria? Is it black, like here? Do they have one standard printing color and then a different color for handwriting, or a different set of colors for handwriting? Are there different colors used for different purposes (such as the common red text for the words of Christ in many Bibles)?

The standard ink is black, because it's made the same way, from carbon. And the easiest way to get that is from soot.

Other inks can be made from plants, insects, marine animal secretions, etc.... I won't be sure of the exact ingredients till I get back to working on Almean biology.

There's no convention on different ink colors, but some expensive printed Adhivroi and Books of Eledh use colors decoratively (for titles, initial capitals, etc.).
