Questions or discussions about Almea or Verduria-- also the Incatena. Also good for postings in Almean languages.

Air movement sense in uesti: how does it work?

So how do they do it? Terrestrial humans sense air movements mainly by sound and by differences in temperature on the skin. Almean humans need some more accurate mechanism.

I thought of vibrissae. These don't have to be as large or obvious as the whiskers on a cat. A few vibrissae about 5mm long might be located in the eyebrows, or the eyelashes, or on the backs of the hands, or the edges of the scalp, or in several of these places. They would be hardly noticeable even close up, but they would provide enough sensory input to navigate in darkness or underwater.
