It looks like you run into trouble when you hit a prepositional phrase... "of the Speech" is expressed using the genitive of both words: soe Sfahei. And "(based) on an existing language" should use sur plus the dative: sur dembec?n rhon?n. (Redhun?t means 'space'; that is, extent as a noun, not an adjective-- I should clarify that in the Dictionary.)

Anyway, to answer the question-- Verdurian borrows a lot from French and Russian, so it probably sounds like a strange mix of the two, plus whatever sounded interesting to me at the time.

Yes, I thought it sounded very "Romance language", but with something different...........Russian.
