Questions or discussions about Almea or Verduria-- also the Incatena. Also good for postings in Almean languages.

Verdurian transliteration of English

Post by tezcatlip0ca »

Okay, this is really strange.

/m n N/ m n (ng?)
/p b t d tS dZ k g/ p b t d č (dž?) c g
/f v T D s z S Z h/ f v (ď?) ď s z š ž (h?)
/r j w l/ r y (u?) l

And yes. I know Verdurian h is silent.

Maybe you should have one thread for all your random Almea-related questions, instead of creating a new one each day.

I know, the problem is Zompist only answers my question, leaves, and doesn't return to the thread, anyway, the vowels are:

/I e { Q V U @/ i e (e?) (o?) a u (e?)
/i: eI aI OI/ i ei ai oi
/aU @U u:/ au (ou?) u
/i@ e@ A: O: 3: U@/ (ie?) (ea?) a o ö (uo?)

I have problems with the schwas, can you help me?

Off topic, how do you represent the labiodental flap in X-SAMPA?

I read everything in the Almeaforum (not something that can be assumed in the other ones). I'm not sure what you're referring to; sometimes I don't answer a question because I've forgotten it, or someone else answered adequately, or there's just no answer to give. But you can always bump the thread if you want to know more.

Thank you MR, I mean when I asked you the Barakhinei declension question in the nh/lh thread, you didn't answer it. I had to put it on a new thread for you to answer it, the Barakhinei-Coraushi-Uyse' thread.
