Hello Zompist,

Have you determined the names of...

* the Ktuvoki (or Eynleyni?) commander that led the invasion of Eretald in 440 ZE?

* the Ktuvoki (or Eynleyni?) commander that led the invasions of Eretald in 1625-44 ZE?

* the Cuoli king in 3042-52 who inherited Evan and established the Cuoli Empire?

Later,

Oerjan

1. Fred the Ktuvok

2. Bill the Ktuvok

3. B?~l? (the ~ goes over the ?; the name means 'storm-glory')

Two of these answers are not serious.

Even though that was pretty silly, I just found it incredibly amusing...hilarious even. I guess it's just the mental image of a Ktuvok walking around wearing a little sticker saying "HELLO, MY NAME IS _Fred_".

I'd never have guessed about the Ktuvoks

What do the diacritics in the Cuoli name mean?

The first vowel is a nasalised front rounded vowel [2~], and the acute on the <e> denotes high tone.

EDIT: I just noticed that in the text of the Cuolese section it says high tone, but in the diagram it says rising tone...Zomp, which is it?

Just as the buttered side of a piece of bread is the one that falls on the floor, the typo is always in the graphic rather than in plain text. :?

So, it's high tone.
