I'll edit this to expand on other possibilities of this concept but for now here is what I came up with on the spot.

It's listed as the bare root because I don't have the verbal morphology very solid yet.

(The object, not the verb. :P)
Pabappa: portapapom from porta "spiral" + papom "pushed". Papom is from an obsolete verb related to the verb for birth; but the actual cognate of that verb is now waporpo due to independent sound changes. Though this pattern is well known to Pabaps, there is no verb *portapaporpo "I screw; I push screws", but instead the whole word for screw is taken as one, and the proper verb is the rather less elegant portapapomop waporpo. The Pabaps are not known for their carpentry skills.

Poswa: The primary word is žuvwa, now seen as an independent morpheme, but originally from žuma "deep body piercing" + abwa "staple; ant's pincers". This word survived as udu in Pabappa, which underwent far more extensive sound changes, but the meaning is now "nail" and isn't commonly used even in that sense. There is also pušse, pronounced with two different fricatives. This word comes from pu "to kiss" and an unknown morpheme žyse. More work is needed on my part to give an etymology for that one and probably to assign it a less redundant meaning. All I can say is that it was the most common word for screw in the parent language of about 3800 years ago.

Actually, I made a mistake and the word should have been manimya.

Poswa: šupsa default word, meaning "to climb, creep, crawl". For finer distinction of meaning you could use šupsa bipipu "to climb up", or a different word entirely such as babwumpat "to climb with the arms and legs" (bab "all, entire" + bum "working together" + tat "to climb, grow like a plant") or pyvatat with a similar structure.
The -tat part of the word appears in other morphemes such as papapat "snake" and is cognate to the word for man (pàḷtu) in the distant language of Sŭda (common meaning: "to grow upward and outward").
