In the Netherlands, this winter isn't much. I haven't seen real sno at all this year. It's the second year in a row without snow. Before these two years, we had eight or nine years of snow, but that was exceptional. My kids asked last year "where's the snow?", since for them, every winter has snow. Next year, we could go to Austria to ski. I hope there'll be snow then.

IIRC, jal has said it's an English-based creole. I like it. I've looked at creoles during my linguistic studies years ago, and this has a very realistic feel.

Ye, mi tingk dis, ova mi neva luk dis no taym. It me fonimik im u ray /tʃ/, ova im a tok [cç]. Sajiwan u langwij fi Sajiwa, smol aylan de kos fi Jameka. Im u Inggles Karibyan kwiol, so im sem Jameka patwa. Ova im cenc kos Espanyol, mos de fonolaji. Mi mek likl istori (an Sajiwa an Sajiwan), ova im in don don.

Yeah, I thought so, but I've never seen it like that. Perhaps it's written /tʃ/ phonemically, even though it's pronounced [cç]. Sajiwan is the language of Sajiwa, a small island off the coast of Jamaica. It's an English Caribbean creole, and thus resembles Jamaican patois. But it is influenced by Spanish, mostly the phonology. I've created a short history (both for Sajiwa and Sajiwan), but it isn't quite finished yet.

Thank you. I've studied English Caribbean creoles quite a bit to make sure that Sajiwan feels realistic, though without being a clone of Jamaican.

Note the orthograpy of "riyl" [ri.l̩] and "fiyl" [fi.l̩], and "klown" [klon]. The former two come from earlier "riyal"/"fiyal", "klown" is a modern English import, written with an ortohraphic "w" to prevent the reading [klɒ̃].
