Yes, you can. I just improvise as i go. I try yo remember what my rules are, then I use Google Translate and see the words in all different Germanic languages, and choose one that I like.
This makes for a silly and inconsistent mess, like Syldavian, but I like it.

I think your language looks very similar to dutch.

Before I tried to make a Germanic conlang, I'd rather learn another Germanic language which is not English, and some general traits of the evolution of the family.

You can also make a language which includes Germanic vocabulary and romanic grammar. I guess it would be an interesting mix.

I've come across that before, I believe here.

Why do you keep capitalising your word for 'I'? We only do this in English because lowercase i looks ugly on its own or something. Re: Help your conlang fluency
I'm playing with a Finnic language spoken in a few towns and rural areas in Leningrad, Novgorod, and Vologda Oblasts. (It's actually just Finnish with a dozen or so regular sound changes, a bit of semantic drift here and there, and a few Russian loan words.) Here's the Russian national anthem with lyrics in their language. Clearly these lyrics were designed to instill a sense of integration and national duty more so than the Russian lyrics. <õ> is /ə/ [ə ~ ʌ].
Suor Ižamoa - The Great Fatherland
Meä Ižamoa taruedže nü šea kanzoa
----Our Fatherland needs her people now
Me šeištume vaboast šea palueluo
----We gladly arise in her service
Me õume vaupoad nie šida ei vauda
----We are vigilant - she shall not be conquered
Levidžeme verda šea pualustakšie
----We will shed our blood in her defence
Loeštoa Venemoalle, meä üöbö ja riamu
----Glory to Russia, our pride and joy
Jumala prigaži šea voetoa
----God has ordained her triumph
Muenaži Venemoa, vaboa ja voemane
----Most ancient Russia, free and strong
Suajoame sua Suor Ižamoa
----We will protect you, Great Fatherland
Meä viarnost Ižamoalle anda voemoa
----Our loyalty to the Fatherland gives us strength
Kanzoje sõjuosta ei koskoa hajoa
----The union of peoples shall never be dissolved
Kaeg õume veljõd Federoadžija alla
----We are all brothers under the Federation
Ižamoalažõd õud voetamatoad
----The people of the Fatherland are indomitable
Loeštoa Venemoalle, meä üöbö ja riamu
----Glory to Russia, our pride and joy
Jumala prigaži šea voetoa

I like this language, especially with the Cyrillic script. Obviouly, it's the anthem for modern Russia. Do you have a version for communist Russia?
