There is also the fact that within 5 minutes of recording I promptly forget everything I've said. XD

I've had a couple of people ask me about something mentioned on the podcast and I'm usually just like "When did we talk about this?"

I say, I really like the sound of that language you used for the Top of Show Greeting, you should feature that sometime.

(actually no, I have yet to complete a good description of it...)

I'm downloading about 8 hours of podcasts to listen to while traveling about 2000 km. Thank you for making sitting in the car for 3 days a lot more fun! :D

Holy fuck, where are you going that it takes you 3 days?

Who is this Fuck you speak of? Is he some kind of God? A semi demon or angel? Normally I would think it was profanity but you turned it into a noun and described him as holy. Is this guy on par with the Catholic view of the virgin Mary?

On topic however. I love your podcast. It is a brilliant idea and I love listening. Your conlang of the week is a clever touch.

I suppose the suggested procedure is now that Finlay wash out his mouth with soap and ask God for forgiveness, for he has committed the sin of blasphemy by calling the impurest and most obscene of all human activities, "sexual intercourse," holy? Seriously,

When is that profanity podcast coming out? Are you serious about making it number 13?

That was intentional and you know it. It was to get the point across that all he needed to say was, "Were are you going that it takes three days?" Was the profanity useful. It doesn't make anyone think you care. It makes people think you are about to be ridiculed for taking the wrong route.

From Spain to Holland, which is at least 2000 kilometers, which means 7 hours of driving per day.

Yes, and I believe it will publish on the 29th. It's probably going to run quite long as well.

This one was probably the most useful yet for me.

A while back, I tried to put together an early IE language for use in fiction, but I really didn't understand how word order worked. Y'all got me thinking and doing some research, and now I think i can do the grammar and syntax correctly.

Also, is there a chance you can do a show on tense and aspect and different ways to represent them? We silly English-speakers would be ever so grateful.

Thanks again for an awesome show!

Bianca suggests it on the show IIRC.

You could make a three episode series on TAM. There are some great aspects out there. So many things that can be done with mood as well. My conlangs tend to be mood heavy, Majiusgaru is the exception. And even tense and general sense of time including time metaphor is more varied than most L1 English speakers would think. Then there is the whole interplay of aspect and tense and how some are used to imply the other.

That's actually a really great idea. I will talk to the others about it. We have aspect on our list already.

Might as well do all three.
TAM - the holy trinity of verbs?

I thought she had, looking back. I never said it was my idea :)
