"Short" and "word" and "good" are short words. I think words should be short.

Yaufulti lefiisuinai tuyeleyau, sufuzupisuinai lukukaifansuyaupai lenakisuinainugui tuyeleyaupa.
yaufulti many.count-long-word have-agr-agr, indef.count-build-word ipfv-giant-like-agr-agr=because=and many.count-end-word-bit have-agr-agr=because
Yaufulti has many long words, because it really likes compounds, and it has many inflections.

As a bonus, here's an experimental orthography of Yaufulti using Japanese kanji and hiragana:
やう話ちれ長詞持れやう、す建詞ろ巨好すやうぱいれ末詞少持れやうぱ

(incidentally, if I decide to continue using that, I do have one or two problems with hiragana – one is that I need a symbol for coda L, for which I'm happy to swap around ろ for lu and る for -l, and the other is that Yaufulti has the syllable ye, and I wouldn't know what to do with that in hiragana – any ideas? It didn't come up this time around because in both cases that either of these syllables was needed I used a kanji instead)

edit again: shit never mind i don't even have the syllable e in yaufulti because consonants are obligatory so i'll just use え for ye. problem solved.

edit no 3: changed 語 to 詞

PALET族能正写屈由字多漢族(我必正定猜原之„PALETA“)
[paˈleto tʃiˈβe‿ɪ̯ʒateˈdo‿ɪ̯ sagaˈli ˈhano || la beˈme ti̯aˈno βaˈtoɪ̯.n‿e paleˈta]
Palethian can be written with Han Characters. (I need to figure out the etymology of "Palethia".)

-族 -o forms adjectives from countries, ethnic groups, etc.
能- tiv-, tiv-, tior- to be able [to]
-正 -e/o/i -IPV
写- iliat-, iliat-, iliatu- to write
-屈 -edo -PSV[.INF]
由 íe by, with
字 sagau character
-多 -(C)i -PL
漢 han Han

我 la 1S
必- bem-, bem-, biebu- should
定猜- tean-, tean-, teanu- to figure out, to realize (that) (this one's etymological!)
原 vatuin origin
之 e of, belonging to

Of course, if I treat these character assignments as inherited from Proto-Annumahan (as I should), they would actually be totally different. But that would mean so much thinking about etymology, plus developing an alternate system for loanwords like vatuin.

i just made up 'nukaliten' as an affectionate term for a gay boyfriend named after the moon that is traditionally seen as feminine. i'm pleased with that...

No the idea was to make equivalent to saying fag: ok for me and you but not for heteros. I just thought it was more interesting than the other compound which was fanten (like-man).
