ConlangDictionary 0.3 - now phonology parsing is faster

Substantial postings about constructed languages and constructed worlds in general. Good place to mention your own or evaluate someone else's. Put quick questions in C&C Quickies instead.

Awesome, thanks. I do have that set already.
There's actually no difference in the database - a phoneme/word is a member of a class iff it contains all the requisite features.
I figured it must be something like that, but it's still cool.

Edit:
Looks like only the definition part has formatting info on export.

Alright, update posted.
changelog wrote:3/18/14
- Fixed bug where searching on the word tab would mess up the display.
- Now allows contextual spelling representations.
- Accents can now replace other accents.
- Spaces are now ignored automatically by the parser.
- Edit phonology dialog now allows you to edit previous syllables.
- Program will no longer create formatted text in the database you will have
to retype anything that already outputs formatting, though).
- Word page now behaves properly when you update the phonology of a word.
- Unbroke text importing.
- It is now possible to clear just the wordlist instead of the whole
dictionary.
Some notes:
The way contextual spelling representations work is that you can specify the spelling of a phoneme as x|y, which means that the phoneme can be spelled "x" if it precedes the character "y". The parser will also tend to favor interpretations involving special contexts, so if you state that /k/ is spelled <c> but /s/ can be spelled <c|e>, it will interpret <ce> as /se/ rather than /ke/.

The accent bit means that if you define one of your phoneme spellings as, say, ä, it can still have an accent applied to it by a suprasegmental. This is only true for the supported accents.

There should be no extraneous insertion of formatting into the database now, but if you have words that are already generating formatting on output, you'll have to fix that manually. You can do that by making a small change to the word, then undoing it, and clicking "Submit".

Very good.

I am having some trouble with the alignment of features for words. That is, if I click the edit feature button, the feature doesn't apply to the word for which I clicked the button. I think it may have something to do with the reordering which doesn't seem to happen underlyingly.
